Less Than Dirt There are some situations in which you just have to be strong enough to close the door, throw away the key, walk away, and never look back. Dr. K.L. Register-LinkedIn I never knock anyone’s come up and I try to be open and look for the good in situations. I saw this video of this (as Mr. Craig would say) young fella rapping in a wedding dress with a gun in his mouth, which is another blog in itself. He was saying that he was married to the game. What does that mean? These past few weeks I have had some enlightening conversations and interviews with men about relationships. I was told in one conversation that what matters (in this order) are his kids, his music, and then his woman. In another conversation (excuse the language) a man said he don’t give a fuck about nothing but his daughter and his business. Is that what being married to the game mean? Besides being a writer/blogger, I am also an educator, so I need to educate some men and women on a few things. First, let me clarify what a woman is because I am not talking about a female. A woman is a man’s help, she is defined by her character, her morals, her values, her virtue…. If she’s a liar, a cheat, destroy your things, argue in public, disrespect you, screw your friends, always turning up, always asking for money, and (not exhaustive) always in the streets, then she is not a woman. Sorry guys to lay it on you, but the same goes for the male. If you are not communicating, screwing other women, asking her to come meet you late at night, think it’s okay to be around her kids, but not yours, ask for money, or even take her money and have bad intentions you are not a man. So, this group of people I am not talking to. I teach, what we call in Nurturing Parenting (www.nuturingparenting.com), SPICES. I am applying SPICES to relationships and if one component goes lacking, discord in the relationship is inevitable. Social-communication, having friends, being around people. Physical-touching, kissing, and sex. Intellectual-meeting of the minds. Creativity-the ability to create memorable moments. Emotional-listening, empathy, compassion, and love. Spiritual-a sense of belonging to each other, each other’s family and friends. Men it’s cool to be married to the game, but remember that your children grow up, your business can’t hold you or kiss you, and your music can’t’ rub your back. And if she means less than dirt be prepared for her to walk because a woman knows, “There are some situations in which you just have to be strong enough to close the door, throw away the key, walk away, and never look back.”
